In an effort to share the faces behind our organization, we're shining a spotlight on our Team, Volunteers, and Board Members who have worked tirelessly to get Trinity Health Center open to provide health and healing to the working uninsured and underinsured neighbors in DeSoto County.

This week, we're spotlighting Trinity Health Center Volunteer Coordinator, Jamie Moffitt. Jamie has been a HUGE asset to our team in being able to help organize volunteers for our clinic and attending outreach events with the DeSoto County Dream Center.

Why did you become involved with Trinity Health Center?
Years ago, when I first heard about Trinity becoming something our church would be a part of, I knew I wanted to be involved. A friend, whom I hold in high regard reached out and asked if I would be interested in taking a volunteer position and without a doubt I was in!

What excites you most about Trinity Health Center's mission and purpose?
I am so excited to work with such an amazing group of people who have such a heart for the people of our community! It also excites me to see folks in our community have the opportunity to receive affordable quality health care at a Christ centered facility!

What are some of your favorite places in our County to enjoy a healthy lifestyle?
I love Olive Branch City Park! You can spend an entire day there nature walking, biking, fishing, bird watching, kite flying, playing tennis....the options are endless! Then after all those activities hit up "Tacoholics" food truck followed up by an authentic Mexican dessert at Frutanas!

What is your favorite quote or bible verse?
Romans 8:31 "If God is for us, who can be against us?"

In an effort to share the faces behind our organization before we open this Fall with our community, we're shining a spotlight on our Planning Team, Volunteers, and Board Members who have worked tirelessly to get Trinity Health Center open to provide health and healing to the working uninsured and underinsured neighbors in DeSoto County.

This week, we're thrilled to spotlight our Technology Consultant, Alan Clayton.

Why did you become involved with Trinity Health Center?
I served on the original Planning Committee with Brown Baptist under the leadership of Pastor Bartholomew Orr and Kim Smith.

What excites you most about Trinity Health Center's mission and purpose?
Having served 13 years at one of the largest non-profit clinics in America, Church Health, I witnessed first hand the importance of having affordable health care available for our population. Being involved with a startup modeled after Church Health, I was moved to be a part of this effort. I am elated to to see all that has transpired since those early first meetings until now!

What is your favorite quote or bible verse?
Philippians 4:13 NLT - For I can do everything through Christ, who gives me strength.

In an effort to share the faces behind our organization before we open this August with our community, we're shining a spotlight on our Planning Team, Volunteers, and Board Members who have worked tirelessly to get Trinity Health Center open to provide health and healing to the working uninsured and underinsured neighbors in DeSoto County.

This week, we're thrilled to spotlight our Board Member, Attorney, and DeSoto County ChangeMaker, Vance Daly.

Why did you become involved with Trinity Health Center?
My wife and I run a ministry that seeks to help people in need. We learned about Trinity through those ministry circles, and immediately loved the idea. Trinity is just another avenue to help people in need and quickly got on board to assist the effort to get this clinic up and running.

What excites you most about Trinity Health Center's mission and purpose?
The simple fact that it is seeking to meet a HUGE need for people in the name of Jesus.

What are some of your favorite places in our County to enjoy a healthy lifestyle?
We live in Hernando, so we enjoy our parks around town. Most have walking trails that make for great areas to exercise. Also, we have lots of kids, so they keep us pretty active just trying to keep up with them all.

What is your favorite quote or bible verse?
Psalm 37:5 - Commit your way to the Lord; trust in Him, and He will act.

This week, we're spotlighting Trinity Health Center Volunteer, Priscilla Porter. A member of Brown Missionary Baptist Church, Priscilla has been involved with Trinity Health Center since its early planning discussions.

Why did you become involved with Trinity Health Center?
I became involved with Trinity Health Center because I am passionate about healthcare and felt that I could make a difference by assisting others with their healthcare and non-healthcare needs. I was inspired during my time of taking care of family members and saw the importance of having people available to assist with navigating the healthcare system. I also know what it is like to be underinsured or uninsured and have to deal with the stress of not having the money to seek medical attention. I believe that Trinity Health Center will be the helping hand that so many in our community need.

What excites you most about Trinity Health Center's mission and purpose?
Providing quality healthcare to patients who are underinsured and uninsured in the community such as primary care, physicals and wellness checks.

What are some of your favorite places in our County to enjoy a healthy lifestyle?
Olive Branch YMCA, Olive Branch City Park, Papa Murphy’s salads

What is your favorite quote or bible verse?
“For I can do everything through Christ, who gives me strength.” Philippians 4:13 NLT

We are so thankful for Priscilla's involvement with Trinity Health Center.
